Geomatic Technology is a growing profession that puts you in the field for land surveying, mapping, and other work as a geomatic technician. Positions are available in a wide range of employers: construction firms; surveying and engineering firms; mining, oil or gas companies; public utility; or a government agency such as U.S. Geological Survey, Department of Natural Resources, Bureau of Land Management, or U.S. Forestry Service.

Geomatic Technology graduates develop competency in such areas as basic GIS and surveying and mapping skills, and in CAD skills; and gain working knowledge of the Global Positioning System (GPS) as well as Washington state laws related to surveying and boundaries.
